When the Fortnite Big Bang live event starts, and what we know about it

Epic Games has announced its latest Fortnite live event, that will bring an end to the Fortnite OG season

Epic Games has announced its latest Fortnite live event, that will bring an end to the Fortnite OG season.

Leakers have suggested this could be the biggest live event ever – and it will feature a performance from world famous rap star.

Here’s when the event happens in the UK, and everything we know about it so far.

When is the Big Bang live event?

The Big Bang will take place on Saturday 2 December, starting at 7pm GMT.

Epic said: “The experience will be available in the Battle Royale tile in Discover 30 minutes prior, so you can jump in before the event starts to gear up with any of your cosmetics.”

After the event, downtime for the v28.00 update will start at 4.30am GMT on Sunday 3 December, and will last several hours before a brand new chapter goes live.

What do we know about it so far?

The headline news is that the event will feature an appearance by none other than Eminem – and there are Eminem-themed outfits and accessories coming to the store from midnight on Wednesday 29 November. These include the new Rap Boy, Slim Shady, and Marshall Never More outfits.

Epic said: “Own the Marshall Never More Outfit? Heat it up – if you attend The Big Bang, you’ll unlock the Marshall Magma style for the outfit! You’ll unlock this style whether you purchase the outfit before or after attending.”

The Big Bang is a reworked version of the Fortnite Season X live event, The End – the original event that closed Chapter 1. This is fitting, since this Fortnite OG season has been all about bringing the game back to its roots.

As always, though, Epic likes to keep its cards close to its chest, and we don’t know much more about the event.

We do know that the event supports parties of up to four players, so you can join with friends.

Epic has released a warning for any players with certain health conditions, including epilepsy: “This event has flashing lights. If you have a history of photosensitivity, seizure, loss of awareness, or other conditions linked to an epileptic condition, consult a doctor before entering.

“Even if you do not have a history, you may still experience severe dizziness, seizures, epileptic seizures, or blackouts triggered by lights, flashes, or patterns while participating in this experience. Immediately discontinue if you experience any discomfort.”
