What time Fortnite Live event takes place in UK and how to join

The Fortnight OG finale features a very special guest

Grammy award-winning rapper Eminem has been confirmed to perform at Epic Games’ latest Fortnite live event.

The Big Bang, the highly-anticipated series finale is just hours away, with fans counting down for Battle Royale’s biggest collab to date.

What time does the Fortnite Live event take place and how do I join?

The Big Bang will take place on Saturday 2 December at 7pm GMT, but it’s worth logging on earlier than this.

Previous events have seen online queues as players attempt to sign-on to Epic’s servers.

Epic said: “The experience will be available in the Battle Royale tile in Discover 30 minutes prior, so you can jump in before the event starts to gear up with any of your cosmetics.”

After the event, downtime for the v28 update will start at 4.30am GMT on Sunday 3 December, and will last several hours before a brand new chapter goes live.

What can fans expect?

While Fortnite has hosted in-game concerts from the likes of Ariana Grande and Travis Scott before, securing Eminen is a major scoop for the brand.

As usual, Fortnite is keeping proceedings well under wraps until the main event, but the rumour mill has been turning.

Online leaks suggest that the Big Bang event could feature “LEGO, Rhythm Mode & Racing Mode” – and there’s been speculation that a Rocket League integration may also be forthcoming.

“This live event is NOT just a concert, not at all,” posted one Fortnite leaker on Twitter.

“Stay excited, it’s gonna be a ride!”

Eminem-themed outfits and accessories including the new Rap Boy, Slim Shady, and Marshall Never More outfits are already available for purchase in the store.

We also know that the event supports parties of up to four players, so you can join with friends.

Epic has released a warning for any players with certain health conditions, including epilepsy: “This event has flashing lights. If you have a history of photosensitivity, seizure, loss of awareness, or other conditions linked to an epileptic condition, consult a doctor before entering.

“Even if you do not have a history, you may still experience severe dizziness, seizures, epileptic seizures, or blackouts triggered by lights, flashes, or patterns while participating in this experience. Immediately discontinue if you experience any discomfort.”
